Mommy hood treats <3

Being a mommy is one of the toughest roles I’ve ever played! It’s tough, dirty and crucial.

As moms we got to do what’s best for our baby, and we pretty much do it all the time. What we forget to do is acknowledge ourselves for being super moms, we forget to see from the perspective of our darling lil one who views us as the best in the world.

Ekaansh, my son teaches me lessons daily. He teaches me how to make himself heard even when he has not yet learnt to speak, he teaches me the importance of the simple joys in life like watching beautiful cats from the window, even when he can barely stand..

He teaches me to be present, he reflects back to me how I communicate, he teaches me the language of love even before he knows any other language. He teaches me kindness, as he hugs me after he accidentally bumps into me believing he has hurt me. He teaches me lightness as he laughs at anything n everything so simply.

If it really is so easy, why don’t we get it?

He teaches me how to clap at himself after he has achieved something! He teaches me how to tune into stuff he loves, at the same time phasing out what the rest of the world is saying. Management lessons huh??

I dint know I was enrolling into a fun, life time learning course when I agreed to be a mom. I thought I was supposed to be responsible, ideal, perfect, blah blah blah blah

I’m perfect!! N I’m learning from someone who chose me to be his pupil 🙂

Love you Ekaansh! And my heart fills with gratitude as I look at you every single day 🙂 god bless you n god bless me with more n more lessons.

May we both teach other how to love ourselves best and continue expanding the love to the rest of the world.

The adjustment bureau!

What a movie! Fantasised to a certain limit, if I may say so yet based on what I believe to exist, angels! They’re around you all the time, not forced to do so as depicted in the movie but I guess by choice. The movie showcases them as villains but I think they’re my heroes 🙂 They’re giving me beautiful signals all the time, ive just got to listen!

I’ve realised, that at times when I can’t find something I think I need the most, it’s my angels reminding me that perhaps I don’t need it! I’ve realised, when I wake up late and miss the bus, it’s for a good reason. When I’m really not hungry, yet the guy selling sandwiches, drops by,way too frequently, may be my tummy needs a snack.

There are times when I see exotic birds, like the cute woodpecker or the tailor bird, outside my very own bed room window. These are times I know my angels are asking me to offer gratitude. They’re telling me that life is beautiful, that I’m special 🙂 There are times when I meet like minded people across the globe and I know my angels are around.

Our angels know the past, present and our future. They know exactly what’s the best option for us right now 🙂 we just need to tune into them, ask them to protect us all the time, thank them for their divine presence, and choose to listen to what they’re saying.

They’re quite subtly sending us signals. We just need to make sure we’re catching them 🙂

Are we listening to our bodies??

One may think I’m joking here or may be that I’m crazy!! Why should one listen to one’s body n is it even required or possible?
It is very much possible to be out of sync with one’s body or be completely in sync with it..

A sign that you’re in sync with your body is when ….. Oh wait!! Lets see if I can personify this a bit..

What are signs that you are out of sync with a friend? You can’t relate to what the friend says, may be you don’t like that friend’s company, may be that friend doesn’t appreciate you, criticises you for no good reason, right??

Now the signs of a great friendship are when you enjoy the other’s company, don’t mind criticism knowing that the intention is good, love the person for whoever he/ she is…

Similarly signs that we are in sync with our bodies is when we like our bodies, the way they exist! We love being in our body, we appreciate the pluses that our body offers us..

Our bodies communicate with us just like any other person, simply the mode of communication differs. And we can listen to our bodies better when we are prepared to listen to it. A simple step to listen to our body is ask our body what it needs?? Our bodies are tired of communicating (attempting to communicate) with us cuz we aren’t listening..

The head ache or the back ache or that rise in sugar levels: all are our bodies attempts to communicate..
May be we need exercise or some fresh air or maybe our water intake is low.. Our bodies are created to auto pilot n work by themselves. They are so beautifully created!! But there are times when they just can’t do any more without our help and that’s when that weight gain, skin problems, head aches, muscle pains appear.

I have grown up believing that my stomach and skin are my problem areas!! Why?? Cuz they are for Virgos it seems.. Imagine years and years of telling my body that my stomach and skin aren’t functioning well! Result: sensitive skin and sensitive stomach..

One of my Ayurvedic doctor had once told me that our body sorts out all its problems on its own. And when it can’t it slowly shows up, and showing up on the skin as a skin problem is the worst case cuz the skin is the outermost layer of our body.

Meaning its a SOS from our body to start listening to it!! And sometimes all it needs is love. It wants to hear that it’s okay to be fat, lazy, slow, sensitive, whatever that our body is at that moment.. All it needs to know is that it is loved for who it is 🙂

I lost a lot of weight few months back, simply by being okay with the fact that ‘its okay to put on more weight’. So as soon as I accepted my body for its extra weight it actually let it go 🙂

My skin is much better than it used to be years ago!
I’m not someone who has mastered communicating with my body but I must say that I have improved over time.

Our body is our friend, a friend we love!! A friend we accept for whoever it is! A friend who loves us!!
So let us love it back.. It needs our love and acceptance more than anyone else 🙂
